About Blair
I am a deeply experienced educator, with more than 20 years teaching experience. I have a particular passion and skill in teaching writing (my first career was as a journalist).
Not only have I taught English to students for two decades, I have instructed other teachers too.
I understand the importance of building trust and confidence in young learners, and always prepare deeply to extend my students: knowledge.

All of my lessons will use current best practice, and will be scaffolded against the Australian Curriculum. I will identify a students point of need, and always thoroughly plan my lessons to ensure learning is at a student’s level. I make connections easily, and will ensure communication with parents is regular and explicit. I first started tutoring more than 20 years ago, and since then, have taught in Australia, the UK and New Zealand. As well as my classroom experience, I have been a school leader for 8 years, which has further deepened my knowledge of teaching and learning. I will teach English - writing, reading, spelling and grammar, to primary age students. Lessons will be online, and can range from 40 to 60 minutes.
