About Haley
After earning my Bachelor's degree, I joined AmeriCorps and volunteered for a year and a half at an educational nonprofit. Here I taught reading to underserved children in Pennsylvania. I was a reading teacher for 3 years in Nashville, TN. I just recently received my Master's of Information Science from University of Tennessee.

I use Orton Gillingham style techniques to assess readers and see where they are at. From there, we create a game plan to get you reading. We focus on the reading first, then we focus on comprehension and writing. We read stories you want to read and work up to the harder stuff. We play games that promote reading skill, and other age-appropriate activities. A lot of children are reading below grade level, I am here to fix that. Any child who is just starting to read, struggling to read in elementary, middle or early high school could benefit from this. I am also skilled in literature and writing academic papers.
