About Kim
Greetings and salutations! Thank you for taking a peek at my listing.
I'm Kim! I have been tutoring students of all ages and skill levels, including SEND, in drawing, cartooning, character design and animation since 2021.
My lessons are bespoke and tailored to each individual student, their unique skill sets, challenges, interests and goals. Across all my platforms, I have had the pleasure of teaching many ambitious learners!
Since 2023, I have been collaborating with my main client, Young Giants Education - a learner-centred tuition and mentoring service to provide art lessons to students with additional needs.
In terms of my design qualifications, in 2019, I graduated from the University of Technology, Sydney with a First Class Honours degree in Design in Animation. I have since enjoyed a design internship with Cheeky Little Media, had the privilege of working as a character designer, character layout artist, and 2D animator with Kapow Pictures on Netflix's "Adventure Beast," and have illustrated several published children's books.
Tutoring has been the most rewarding thing I have ever done and I look forward to continuing for many years to come. I look forward to helping you or your child achieve all your creative goals!

As with many things, the best way to learn is to do!
These lessons will unpack and condense all that I learned throughout five years of full-time study under Disney animators into a fun, informative and practical experience.
Learners will gain a thorough understanding of the crucial principles of design and animation that have been universally considered the gold standard since they were established in 1981.
Learners will have the opportunity to explore a range of useful tools and techniques that can be practiced any time they like, all of which are designed to take their skills to exciting new heights!
We will first delve into the foundations, and from there, lessons will become personalized to the learners specific goals.
I look forward to helping more learners reach their full creative potential!

Perfect! Not only a great art teacher who tailors each lessons to the areas I personally want to work on but also a lovely human being to talk to :)
