About Anesia
Anesia AKA Neesh, a professional dancer, choreographer, and teacher, is a native of Augusta, Georgia and a graduate of the University of Georgia with a degree in Finance and Minor in Dance. After a brief stint as a financial analyst at a Fortune 500 Company, Neesh began working as a performing artist for Step Afrika!, the first professional dance company dedicated to the tradition of stepping. While in the company, she performed Off-Broadway, toured nearly 30 countries as a U.S. Cultural Ambassador, and is a featured dancer in the National Museum of African-American History and Culture in Washington, DC. She can also be seen on the big screen, having appeared on Netflix, Lifetime, BET, and MTV, working with greats like Debbie Allen and Tyler Perry. As a choreographer, Neesh has presented work at the Johns Hopkins Peabody Dance Festival, the Northwest African American Museum, and the renowned Kennedy Center. She also represented the NPHC as a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. by performing for Vice President Kamala Harris live at CNN’s Juneteenth celebration. Neesh thoroughly enjoys sharing her passion for dance and hopes it is used as a way to heal, spread love, and bring people together.
