About Ruby
My name is Ruby May Elliott and I am a Female who goes by She/Her pronouns. I have a heavy background in Music Theory as I play Trumpet, Piano and I sing.
I am someone with a profound passion for the performing arts, an individual who not only finds immense joy and fulfilment in various forms of artistic expression but also aspires to share that enthusiasm with others. I am dedicated to fostering a love for the performing arts, with the genuine desire to inspire and help others discover the beauty and transformative power of performance. Through my commitment and passion, I aim to create a ripple effect, kindling the flames of creativity and appreciation in those around me.

My teaching philosophy revolves around fostering a positive and inclusive environment where every child feels valued and motivated to explore their potential. I understand the importance of tailoring lessons to different age groups and learning styles, ensuring that each child can fully participate and enjoy the experience.
I possess excellent communication skills, making it easy for me to connect with both children and their parents. I believe in transparent and collaborative communication to keep parents informed about their child's progress and create a supportive community around the dance and fitness programs.
I have studied Music Theory for close to 7 years and most recently studied VCE Music Performance under the new VCAA Study Design. I am available to tutor students from the ages of 5 to 18 in both aural and written theory on topics such as Key Signatures, Notating and recognising Intervals, Notating and Recognising Chords, Notating and recognising Scales, Time signatures, Accidentals etc.
Class length varies from 30 minutes to an hour and are tailored to each childspecific needs.
