My background is in social work and I’d wanted to learn about blockchain for a long time. I hesitated though, because I’d heard it was pretty technical. But, after reading Kenei’s review of Lucy, I’m glad I did. Once I told her what my background was, she kept it non-technical and focused on the bigger picture. Her conversational style made it easy to ask questions and I felt completely at ease. Lucy really let me take the lead and we talked about some other possible future topics. I look forward to our next lesson.

I own a small business and I’m also a lawyer. I wanted to know how blockchain could help scale up my small business and also its effect on the legal system. I let Lucy know that I was most interested in how it could help scale my business, so that’s what we talked about first. We discussed how the blockchain could open up accepting new forms of payments, how it could be used for data storage, how it could be used for raising capital through Initial Token Offerings (ITOs), and enforcing contracts through smart contracts. And that provided the perfect segue for our next round of lessons, which will be blockchain’s effects on the legal system.

I’m a busy ER doc. Initially I thought I’d just do one or two lessons, but after my first few bookings with Lucy, I knew I wanted to book more time with her! She was very flexible and we carved out some time to talk about blockchain’s potential impact on the medical field. Since patients’ data is sensitive and needs to remain private, we talked about how zero knowledge proofs (ZKPs), homomorphic encryption (HE) and zero knowledge machine learning (ZKML) might be instrumental in maintaining patients’ privacy in the future. Lucy didn’t get into technical details because I told her I didn’t need it, but instead explained from a high level how these technologies would improve patients’ privacy in comparison to what’s in use today.

I’m a deeply technical person who was interested in finding out more about zero knowledge proofs (ZKPs). Since I have an in-depth STEM background, I wanted to do a deeper dive into ZKP proving systems. It was obvious that Lucy keeps up to date on what’s state-of-the-art in the field. We’re going to get into recursion, folding, lookups, and zero knowledge machine learning (ZKML) next.

I had the pleasure of having Lucy as a mentor twice: once to mentor me in Data Science and once to mentor me in blockchain, and both times she has done an amazing job. Not only did she teach me the things that I needed to know, but gave me the confidence and inspiration to study topics about data and blockchain on my own. She has a knack for knowing when to keep things at an appropriate level so you don't get overwhelmed, and when to push you when you can be doing more.
I would absolutely recommend Lucy if you're interested in learning about blockchain. Having Lucy as a mentor definitely changed my life and I would not be where I am today without her guidance.

At my core, I’m a writer. I wasn’t interested in learning about cryptocurrencies, but in learning about how blockchain might be able to help me self-publish. Lucy and I discussed turning my writing into literary non fungible tokens (NFTs). I’d never even thought of that and I was very excited! I’m scheduling additional time with her so that we can walk through the best way to move forward. Absolutely would recommend!
