About Sab
Hi!
I worked at Ableton for years, released on multiple labels on vinyl, digital, tape, etc. and across genres.
I have also produced for other people, done vocal work, sound design and many types of performances from DJing to live shows with Live + controllers, some hardware and vocals.
Ableton has been my creative tool and what will be used for the lessons. I can help with all levels and several areas:
- Introduction to producing your own tracks
- Intro and/or improvement: Ableton Live
- Mixing your tracks
- Production workflows
- Instrument devices & effects
I love to mentor and support as a sounding board while going through practical aspects.
While on a production break myself, I still find a lot of fun in talking about production and teaching, and was encouraged to do so here by a friend -- wish for more female tutors etc.
I don't particularly believe in a 'wrong way' of doing things, but there can be quicker ways or workarounds for different approaches. Know the rules to break them!
I also have a music tech degree etc etc. (Not sure it actually matters tbh.)

I think I covered most things above, however I hear what you are trying to achieve and we set realistic steps for the time we have across all your classic areas from production and editing, structure and composition, editing, mixing, intro to live sets in Live, devices & effects for your current work and direction(s).
Currently running sessions online, but can be open to doing them in-person but you would have to cover for the space at Pirate Studios if you're based in London.
