About Tyler
I am a friendly and kind soul who loves my family, loves Jesus, and is passionate about music. Music has always been an important part of my life, as it has helped to both distract and escape mentally in times of need.
I pursued my passion for music by earning a BA in Contemporary music with an emphasis in guitar from the University of Maine at Augusta. My dedication and hard work paid off, as my education has equipped me with the skills needed to become an accomplished musician.
Before following my dream of music, I proudly served my country in the United States Army for 20 years, most of which were served with the US Army Bomb Squad. Despite the challenges I endured, my love for this country never faltered, and I am grateful for the experience and opportunities the military provided me.
In addition to my love for music and country, I am happily married and cherish my relationship with my family. My love for Jesus is also an integral part of my life, as it influences how I treats others and how I approach my business.
As a skilled musician and passionate teacher, I use my platform to share my love for music with others. I offer a range of music services, including guitar lessons, composition, and music production. I have a unique ability to connect with my students, inspiring them to pursue their own passions and reach their full potential.

Guitar, music theory, and music composition lessons with me are designed to help students of all levels and abilities develop a deep understanding and appreciation for music. During my lessons, students will learn a variety of foundational skills and techniques, including scales, improv, chords, progressions, articulations, and creating their own sound and style.
I believe in tailoring my teaching approach to the individual needs of each student. I take the time to get to know each student on a personal level, understanding their interests, goals, and skill levels, in order to create customized lesson plans that are best suited for them.
In the early stages of guitar lessons, students will learn the basics of proper hand and finger placement, strumming patterns, and chord progressions. As they advance, they will focus on mastering scales and arpeggios, honing their improvisational skills, and refining their technique. I incorporate a range of musical genres into my lessons, from blues and rock to jazz and classical, in order to expose my students to a variety of styles and techniques.
In addition to the technical aspects of guitar playing, I place a strong emphasis on helping students develop their own unique sound and style. I work with students closely to explore their own creativity and helps them to develop the skills to express themselves fully through their music.
Overall, guitar lessons with me are fun, engaging, and rewarding. Students can expect to learn vital skills that will enable them to play music with confidence and proficiency, while also enjoying the creative and emotional benefits that music can bring.
