About Sophia
Hey there! I’m a tutor who’s all about making learning less stressful and way more manageable. Whether you're trying to get ahead, catch up, or just make sense of a tricky topic, I’m here to help you feel more confident and in control. Math has always been my best subject—I love how everything fits together once it clicks. But I totally understand that not every subject feels that way. (History and I never really got along!) That’s why I focus on breaking things down in a way that makes sense for you and your learning style. Outside of tutoring, I’m a bit of a mix of cozy and creative. I’m a total cat person, I love to cook, and I’m always trying out new coffee and tea combos. I also enjoy painting, getting lost in a good book, and spending time with my best friend. And yes—I do love a good gaming session when I get the chance! I try to make every session relaxed, supportive, and focused on your goals. There’s no pressure to be perfect—just progress. I believe learning works best when it’s a team effort, and I’m here to guide you at your pace. I often use diagrams, charts, mind maps, and custom summaries to enhance retention. I regularly check understanding through quizzes, short recaps, or by asking students to explain the concept back.
Each lesson is structured but flexible. Here's a general outline:

I break down complex ideas into digestible steps using analogies that make sense to you. I provide notes, revision guides, practice questions, and optional follow-up material, often in multiple formats (text, image, or interactive). I foster a safe space where mistakes are welcome and part of the process.
I work with a wide range of learners, from elementary school students to high school level. I typically teach Math & Sciences (algebra, calculus, physics, biology).
