About Daniel Jay
I graduated from Sonoma State University with a degree in Psychology, but I went into therapy for children, and then finally into teaching children and tutoring adults. Teaching is my passion. In my free time I write and publish on religious topics. I have lived in Latin America for many years. Currently I am living with temporary residency in Colombia.

The best way to learn is by making a creative effort - speaking and writing - and by being in an entirely Spanish environment. Immersion is the philosophy that helped me get fluent. Adults and children learn the same way - by being around the language and making mistakes. Grammar and vocabulary, therefore, are taught in context and not as separate lessons (unless requested). I have taught in classrooms for years as a sub, but have extensive in-person and also virtual experience tutoring. Right now the majority of my students are Spanish to English, but I can teach you English to Spanish with the same success. I'm available for all levels.

Hola, Daniel Jay is an excellent teacher of the Spanish language being fluent in the language. He is helpful, patient and his classes are most reasonably priced.
I highly recommend his classes even for a refresher course for those of us who do not speak the language on the daily.
