About Vanille
I am an undergraduate at the University of Toronto, with Honors Life Sciences. Since high school, I've been tutoring young children from Grade 1-8 Mathematics (Algebra, Trigonometry, etc.) and English (Grammar and Writing) for over two years. As a younger tutor, I have more knowledge in the newest education styles and access to updated past papers/exercises, that change up my teaching style from time to time.

I specialize in Grade 1-9 Mathematics and English. I do test preparation, help with homework and answer any questions outside of class. Typically, I meet with students to get a sense of their abilities, strengths and weaknesses, and their learning styles to tailor my approach towards each individual student. I sometimes assign readings and exercises for students to complete, and provide extra practice/past papers if suitable for review. I start my lessons with a brief overview of what we will discuss, outline the material before we dive in. I share my screen when teaching so we are both on the same page while I talk. Feel free to interrupt me for any questions/concerns throughout the lesson.

I believe that Vanille would stand out a lot from others as a teacher because she is a person of many qualities. She is smart with the marks to back it up and has enough patience for anyone at any learning level to improve. I met her through a friend recommending her as a personal tutor to assist me in my math homework and application. Her fun ways of teaching are engaging and do not get me bored at all, such as little pop up questions to refresh my memories and formulas. She goes through everything I struggle with in detail and step by step explanations, which is not something that every teacher can easily do.
