About Ruby
Hi, I’m Ruby! I’m currently studying Fashion Marketing at London College of Fashion. I grew up in Switzerland in a multilingual family and speak English and Dutch natively, as well as German fluently. Having attended an international school, I’m familiar with learning languages in an academic environment and understand the preparation and techniques needed for language exams. I want to teach German to help students feel more confident using the language while also supporting them in achieving their academic goals.

My lessons are one hour long and are tailored to each student’s individual needs and level. My main aim is to speak as much German as possible during the lesson, helping students become more confident and comfortable using the language naturally. Lessons can focus on speaking, grammar, vocabulary, writing, schoolwork or exam preparation depending on what the student needs. As I recently completed both GCSE and A-Level German myself, I understand the exams and can also help with exam technique and revision. I am a fluent German speaker and achieved an A* at GCSE and an A at A-Level German, including an A* in my oral exam. I am currently studying Fashion Marketing at London College of Fashion (UAL). My lessons are suitable for GCSE and A-Level students, as well as younger students who want to improve their German.
