About Freyja
I am a Spanish tutor with over 9 years of experience and a BSc in Mathematics with Actuarial Science. I help heritage speakers reconnect with Spanish and strengthen their language skills. Lessons focus on formal grammar, academic writing, and expanding vocabulary beyond everyday use. I emphasize understanding diverse cultural contexts and regional variation. My approach is sensitive to identity, supporting each student’s personal and cultural connection to Spanish. Students practice reading, writing, and speaking through structured exercises. I provide strategies for clear, accurate, and expressive communication. Lessons include grammar drills, vocabulary enrichment, and analysis of authentic texts.
