About Jose Manuel
My name is José Manuel Alconchel, a flamenco guitarist born in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain, with over three decades of international experience. Since the age of nine, I have devoted my life to music, studying under masters such as José Luis Balao and Gerardo Núñez, and performing alongside renowned flamenco artists across the globe. I’ve had the privilege of performing in prestigious venues such as Casino Duliban in Lebanon, Piramide de Arona in Tenerife, Escala Madrid, the Joyce Theater in New York, and stages in Las Vegas, Chicago, Los Angeles, Houston, as well as cities throughout Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, France, Germany, Italy, and Portugal, among others. My work spans theaters, luxury hotels, dance companies, and variety shows, where I’ve delivered performances that blend flamenco tradition with contemporary expression. Since relocating to Miami in 2016, I’ve been a frequent collaborator with Telemundo and an active contributor to the city’s cultural scene. In 2020, I was awarded first prize in the international guitar competition hosted by Guitarras Alhambra, standing out among musicians from around the world and across genres. My recent studio work includes collaborations with Gente de Zona, Jesse & Joy, Bacilos, and Antonio Carmona.
