About Ruby
I am a first year university student studying Geology at the University of Bristol. Maths and science have always been my passions, competing and achieving highly in the girls' national olympiad on multiple occasions. I aim to inspire and help GCSE and A level students to excel in their studies, as I was when I was taking my exams. I have previously been a GCSE tutor in maths, physics, chemistry and geography whilst completing my A levels. I found working with younger students extremely rewarding as I had to become creative and adaptable in my teaching style, tailoring it specifically to each student. Watching my students succeed and improve was truly amazing.

I seek to bring out the best in my students by creating a comfortable environment for mistakes to be made on the journey to improvement. By identifying areas of struggle I can target them specifically, sourcing and creating questions for that specific topic. As I have recently been in their same position I am very familiar with the content and mark schemes, helping me to implement tactics within their learning that helped me to achieve highly. My student-led approach not only leads to high levels of improvement, but also helps students feel more confident learning content and preparing for exams.

Ruby tutored my little sister and helped her copious amounts with her maths skills! She’s kind and talks everything through to ensure that my sister understood.
