About Bree
Hello! My name is Bree Kelly, and I’m passionate about helping students feel confident, capable, and excited about learning. I earned my undergraduate degree in Journalism and Film, where I developed strong communication and storytelling skills that I now use to make lessons engaging, creative, and easy to understand. I am also currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Africana Studies, deepening my knowledge of history, culture, and education — all of which I bring into my teaching to create meaningful and inclusive learning experiences. My journey in education began as a paraprofessional, where I supported 2nd-grade students and worked with Exceptional Education students in 1st through 3rd grade. Through these experiences, I learned the importance of meeting each student where they are and tailoring instruction to fit their unique learning styles. In addition to my classroom experience, I would tutor 4th-grade math twice a week, helping students strengthen foundational skills and build confidence in problem-solving. I also served as a substitute teacher for Pre-K through 4th grade throughout the school year, which has allowed me to work with children across different ages, grade levels, and subject areas. My goal as a tutor is to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel empowered to ask questions, try new things, and grow. I truly believe that with the right support and guidance, every student can succeed — and I’m excited to be part of that journey.

My background consists of a wide range of duties, including being a paraprofessional for 2nd grade as well as Exceptional Education for 1st-3rd grade. In addition, I tutored 4th-grade math two days a week and substituted Pre K-4th grade throughout the school year.
Currently, I am pursuing my Master's in Africana Studies, and I have a Journalism and Film Studies background. What sets me apart from other tutors is my diverse background and my patient attitude toward adolescents.
