About Sophie
I am an avid learner of languages and when I discovered Mandarin Chinese, I was hooked! I now have a degree in German and Mandarin Chinese and my professional background is in multilingual customer services. I am enthusiastic about encouraging people to learn Chinese because it is so useful and increasingly significant, moreover, it's just a lot of fun which so many people don't realise.
Since I am not a native Mandarin speaker, I see my role in Mandarin tutoring as sparking a love for the language and building confidence.

The beginning stages of learning Mandarin are so much fun! I will tailor our lessons to your requirements and wishes. If you just want a few phrases for an upcoming trip to China, we can focus on survival phrases. Perhaps you (or your child) are hoping to learn Mandarin to fluency and you are just dipping your toe in the water, in which case we can start at the very beginning using a combination of textbooks, role-play, games, etc.
