About Muskan
Hey there! This is Muskan, a psychology graduate by passion, and a career and international studies counselor by profession. I hold a bachelor's in psychology (honors) and master's in educational psychology. I have been teaching psychology as a subject to high school students and undergraduates for a little over 2 years now. My forte lies in topics including but not limited to developmental psychology, social psychology, positive psychology, school and educational psychology and qualitative and quantitative research in behavioral sciences. I always had a penchant towards learning more about psychology and its concepts and principles. I was awarded as the First Rank Holder while graduating from Master's and am now doing my bit to impart this knowledge and penchant among others through tutoring. With my focus on enhancing personal well-being along with academic learning, I envision to offer my potential students a platform to interact and develop connections through networking. For this purpose, the students will not just attend academic lessons but will also have the choice to voluntarily join a community of learners (completely unpaid and free of cost) to periodically come together to chat, play games and just have fun in a safe space.

My specialization in educational psychology has directed my focus towards understanding the processes underlying learning and development and I constantly put in conscious efforts to make my pedagogy more student-centric in nature, with an emphasis on incorporating learner-engagement and learner-assessment strategies.
I believe that in order to be able to teach something to someone, one must have full clarity and grasp over that concept oneself. This makes me constantly involve myself in the process of learning, unlearning and relearning so I can do justice, both to the subject and to the student, while teaching.
I try to use techniques to facilitate the process of learning such as by creating acronyms and acrostics and by coming up with analogies to better understand and remember complex concepts. I strongly believe in and promote the use of collaborative learning, be it with the tutor or among peers, and frequently use methods such as peer learning and flip learning in my classes.
I completely acknowledge the differing paces at which different learners tend to learn and the differing ways in which they tend to grab information and knowledge, and I try my best to differentiate my teaching practices to meet those learner needs.
