About Matthew
I am a dedicated piano tutor with more than 12 years of experience teaching students from school, college, and working professional backgrounds. I am passionate about helping students learn and enjoy music.
My teaching method focuses on communication, flexibility, and structured learning. I customize my lessons based on each student’s needs and goals. I focus on building strong basics before moving to advanced skills.
Along with piano, I teach music theory, rhythm practice, and ear training. These help students gain a deeper understanding of music. I include simple exercises and song learning.
My unique skill is simplifying complex topics into easy steps. I help students improve their consistency, technique, and confidence. I also guide them in effective practice methods.
I aim to create a friendly and motivating learning environment. My goal is to make piano learning enjoyable and meaningful.

My teaching methodology is holistic, creative, and flexible. I believe piano lessons should focus on developing technical skills, musical understanding, and expressive ability, while also being enjoyable and inspiring. Through consistent communication, I understand each student’s goals, strengths, and challenges, which allows me to create lessons that are personalized, motivating, and effective.
Creativity is encouraged in every lesson. Students explore improvisation, composition, and different musical styles, developing their own unique musical voice and expressive confidence. Flexibility allows lessons to be adapted to the student’s pace, learning style, and skill level, ensuring progress is smooth and learning is stress-free.
In addition to piano, I teach music theory, sight-reading, rhythm, and ear training. This holistic approach builds technical mastery, expressive skills, and musical understanding. My goal is to guide students toward becoming confident, skilled, and lifelong musicians.
