About Hashim
I am a First Class graduate in International Relations and a current MA student in National Security Studies at King’s College London. I have a passion for teaching and supporting students to achieve their full potential in Politics and History. Having developed excellent essay-writing and analytical skills through my own academic journey, I bring clear, structured methods to my lessons that help students build confidence and improve their grades. I take a structured but flexible approach to tutoring, tailoring each lesson to the student’s goals and current level of understanding. My methodology focuses on building clarity and confidence: breaking down complex theories into digestible explanations, guiding students through essay planning and research skills, and encouraging critical thinking rather than rote memorisation. I use interactive discussion, real-world examples, and targeted feedback on written work to help students strengthen both their subject knowledge and academic style. A typical lesson lasts one hour, though I also offer 90-minute sessions for in-depth essay feedback or exam preparation. Lessons are designed to be highly practical, with clear takeaways students can apply immediately to their studies. I hold a First Class BA in International Relations and am currently pursuing an MA in National Security Studies at King’s College London. My academic background means I understand what examiners are looking for and how to achieve consistently high marks. My lessons are ideal for A-level students studying Politics, History, or related subjects, as well as undergraduates in Politics and International Relations who want to improve their essay writing, exam technique, and critical analysis. I also welcome international students seeking support in adapting to UK academic standards.
