About Anisha
About Me
Hi, I’m Anisha! I’m a qualified Primary Teacher with a BA (Hons) in Primary Education with QTS, and I have experience working with children across Reception to Year 6, both in the classroom and through individual and small-group support.
I have always loved working with children and seeing that moment when something finally “clicks” for them. For me, teaching is about much more than simply helping a child get the right answer. I want children to understand why, feel comfortable asking questions and, most importantly, believe in their own abilities.
I chose teaching because I genuinely enjoy helping children grow in both their academic ability and confidence. Every child has different strengths, needs and ways of learning, and I love finding ways to make learning accessible, enjoyable and meaningful for them.
I am a patient, encouraging and approachable tutor, and I aim to create a relaxed environment where children feel comfortable making mistakes and learning from them. I celebrate progress, no matter how small, and adapt my teaching to make sure each child feels supported.
My goal is for every child I work with to leave a lesson thinking, “I can do this!” 🤍

What will our lessons consist of?
My online tutoring lessons are designed to be engaging, supportive and tailored to each child’s individual needs. As a qualified Primary Teacher with experience across Reception to Year 6, I understand that every child learns differently, so I adapt my teaching to suit their ability, confidence and learning style.
Each lesson will typically begin with a short warm-up or recap to revisit previous learning and identify any areas that may need further support. We will then focus on the main learning objective for the session through clear explanations, modelling and guided practice.
I use a range of interactive activities, questioning, examples and age-appropriate resources to keep children engaged throughout the lesson. I encourage pupils to explain their thinking and ask questions, helping them develop not only their knowledge but also their confidence and independence.
Lessons will include a balance of teacher modelling, guided practice and independent activities, so children have opportunities to apply what they have learnt independently. I will provide positive feedback throughout and address misconceptions as they arise.
Depending on the child’s needs, sessions can support areas such as English, Reading, Phonics, Writing and Mathematics, as well as general homework support and preparation for assessments.
At the end of each lesson, we will recap what we have learnt and identify the next steps. I aim for every child to finish each session feeling more confident, motivated and proud of their progress.
