About Jordan
I am obsessed with history. I am constantly reading university level historical works to challenge my perspective on past events and to expand my portfolio of knowledge.
When I travel, it is mainly for historical purposes. I have had the privilege of visiting the battlefields of WW1 in Belgium and France; WW2 sites of Krakow in Poland; Cold War and WW2 sites in Berlin and the Normandy beaches of D-Day.
In my spare time, I volunteer at a local charity (sitting on the charity committee as the VP) and play lead guitar in a local band.

Two years of tutoring has taught me that all individuals learn differently, but the subject material remains the same.
I provide 30 - 60 minute lessons for individuals all the way up to the final year of university. Lessons will take a knowledge driven, factual approach to discuss the subject matter in great detail.
Through repeat sessions, my experience allows me to identify what methods of teaching works best for the individual.
My tried and tested method of teaching is to do so in a discussion based, open format. We talk about these complex subjects and discuss thoughts/feelings on the source material. Open discussion allows our brain to work and provide answers we may not have seen without discussion.
Research at the higher level is key to success.
I will also provide lessons on exam techniques, essay writing skills and dissertation support.
