About Shuayb
I'm a Business Economics student at the University of Liverpool, where I finished my first year with a first. I got an A* in Economics and an A in Maths at AS-level, so these are subjects I know well and genuinely enjoy.
Economics is the subject I'm built around. I love it because it explains how the world actually works, the shops we use, the everyday things we never really notice, and my goal is to become a policy analyst and make a difference through it.
Alongside my studies, I've tutored Year 11 maths students through Action Tutoring, a UK education charity, and I teach regularly in other settings, which has taught me how to explain difficult ideas patiently to people at very different starting points. I'm reliable, easy to talk to, and genuinely invested in seeing my students improve, not just in their grades but in their confidence with the subject.

I tutor Maths and Economics for GCSE and A-level students, online. My approach is foundations-first: most people get stuck on the harder topics because the basics underneath are shaky, so I make those rock solid before building on top, step by step.
I keep lessons light and easy to follow, with a clear plan shared up front so you always know where we're going. I focus on confidence as much as content, because once a student stops dreading a topic, everything speeds up.
Lessons usually run an hour, tailored to what you actually need, whether that's exam prep, catching up, or getting ahead. I got an A* in Economics and an A in Maths at AS-level, I've tutored Year 11 maths students through Action Tutoring, a UK education charity, and I currently study Business Economics at the University of Liverpool, where I finished my first year with a first.
I measure progress simply: can you do the thing you couldn't do before, and can you explain why it works, not just reach the answer.

Shuayb is an excellent teacher and mentor for young students, he is a very patient and encouraging teacher for students who want to memorise the Quran. Shuayb is very trustworthy and I was happy to allow my son to take classes without supervision with Shuayb. He is always on time, teaches very well, motivates students and is an all-round good teacher of Quran and in particular of Hifdh for boys.
He is very adapting to different students, and plans the activities of each one of them keeping in mind their circumstances and abilities. This is why we always know what to expect from him. Moreover, he takes inputs from us and leads us to the right thing in a logical manner instead of dictating what he thinks is right.
Shuayb teaches my sons and I honestly couldn’t ask for a better teacher for them. They truly enjoy learning from him. He has so much passion and patience for teaching. He is always on time, very respectful, organized, professional but also really personable and always has a great attitude. I’d highly recommend him!
