About William
I came to Cambridge Law from a North East state-school background, having received free school meals and grown up in a single-parent household. My school had limited experience of specialist university admissions tests, so I understand what it feels like to approach the LNAT without extensive guidance, expensive preparation courses or an established support network.
I scored 29/42 in LNAT Section A and have first-hand experience of preparing for both the multiple-choice and essay sections. I aim to make the test feel understandable and manageable, explaining not only which answers are correct but how students can develop the reasoning skills necessary to reach them independently.
At Cambridge, I achieved a first-class result in my first year, ranking 12th out of 212 students overall and third in Constitutional Law. I have also received the Whytehead Scholarship, a College Prize and a Squire Law Faculty Scholarship. Alongside my studies, I mentor a first-year Law student and have developed further coaching experience as captain of the Cambridge University Kickboxing Club.
My lessons are suitable for students applying to any university that requires the LNAT, regardless of their target institution or current level of preparation. I particularly welcome applicants whose schools cannot provide extensive LNAT support. My objective is to ensure that a lack of institutional guidance does not prevent capable students from demonstrating their genuine potential.

Before our first substantive lesson, I ask students to complete an official timed LNAT practice test and submit one essay. This allows me to identify their existing strengths, recurring errors, time-management difficulties and areas requiring the greatest attention.
During our first one-hour session, we examine the overall result before analysing a selection of particularly revealing questions. Rather than simply providing the correct answers, I ask students to explain their reasoning and help them identify precisely where it broke down.
We then create a targeted preparation plan. Subsequent lessons combine timed LNAT-style passages, guided reasoning, essay planning and detailed feedback. My objective is to develop repeatable techniques that students can apply independently under examination conditions, rather than relying on shortcuts.
I am a first-class Cambridge Law student, having ranked 12th out of 212 students in my first year and third in Constitutional Law. I also achieved 29/42 in LNAT Section A and have experience mentoring a first-year Cambridge Law student.
My lessons are designed for sixth-form students applying to LNAT universities, whether they are beginning their preparation or seeking to improve an existing score. I particularly welcome applicants who lack extensive admissions support through their school.
