About Faith

Hi! My name is Faith and I have a Bachelor of Music in Contemporary Performance under my belt, six fantastic years of teaching experience, and my own music career in R&B, Soul, Jazz, and Pop. I've worked in private studios and schools across Sydney, helping students achieve great exam results or assisting those who just want to learn more about their vocals to love the way they sound!

Whether you're a beginner looking to hit those high notes for the first time or an advanced singer, I've got you covered. We'll explore your chest, mixed, and head voices, learn the art of diaphragm breathing, and work on singing without strain.

So, why choose me? Because I'm not just a teacher. I am a mentor, a friend and your biggest fan. Contact me for more info!

  • When did you first develop a passion for music and your favourite instrument?

I honestly can’t remember a time when music wasn't part of me. I grew up constantly singing around the house, putting on little “concerts” for my family and making up harmonies to songs on the radio.

Voice is my main instrument and always will be. I love how personal and expressive it is. Your voice is literally part of your body, so learning to use it confidently is such a powerful thing.
  • Is there a particular type music or artist that you listen to on a loop without it driving you crazy?

I’m a sucker for soulful pop and R&B. I can listen to artists like Tori Kelly, Jazmine Sullivan, Olivia Dean and classic Whitney Houston-style ballads over and over and still feel inspired. I also love Jazz. Storytelling through music just hits differently
  • Explain to us the most difficult or 'riveting' lesson you could personally give to one of your students.

The most challenging (and rewarding) lessons are the ones where we work on emotional connection and performance confidence, not just singing the notes.

Helping a student go from “I’m scared to sing in front of people” to delivering a performance they actually feel proud of is huge. That means working on breath control, vocal technique, stage presence, facial expression, and mindset all at once. It can be confronting, but it’s where the biggest growth happens.
  • What do you think is the most complicated instrument to master and why?

I honestly think the voice is one of the most complicated instruments. You can’t see it, you can’t replace parts, and it’s affected by sleep, stress, hydration and emotions. Learning to control something that’s internal takes patience and body awareness, but that’s also what makes it so special.
  • What are your keys to success?

Consistency, patience and making lessons feel safe and encouraging. Progress in music isn’t instant, so I focus on building my students’ confidence while also giving them clear, practical tools they can practise each week. When students feel supported instead of judged, they improve so much faster.
  • Name three musicians you dream of meeting in your favourite bar in the early hours of the morning. Explain why.

Tori Kelly - I’ve followed her since I was 12 and she’s influenced me so much with her vocal style, control, and the way she writes music.

Ariana Grande - her vocal control and tone are insane and I’d love to pick her brain about technique.

George Michael - I grew up listening to him at home and he really shaped my love for emotional songwriting and performing with passion. The way he connected with his audience was something really special.
  • Provide a valuable anecdote related to your musical journey, or your days at 'music school'.

During my final Bachelor performance exam, I got really sick and had tonsillitis. I had to perform an 8-song set list for my final mark, but my vocal range was basically cut in half. I was so stressed about how I’d get through it.

One of my teachers told me, “Your job isn’t to be perfect. Your job is to make people feel something.” So that’s exactly what I did. I focused on connection, emotion and storytelling instead of perfection. I ended up receiving a High Distinction, and that experience completely shaped how I now teach performance to my students.
  • What are the little touches that make you a Superprof in music?

I really tailor lessons to each student, their voice, their goals and the music they actually love. I balance proper vocal technique with songs that excite them, so learning never feels boring or overly technical.

I also focus a lot on confidence and mindset, because singing is such a vulnerable thing. My students know lessons are a supportive space where they can try, make mistakes and grow.
