About Sachin
Hi, I’m Sachin, and I’m passionate about helping students understand, apply, and excel in their subjects. I know that struggling with a topic is often down to how it’s explained, so I focus on making learning clear, structured, and engaging. I studied A-Levels in Maths, Economics, and Physics and have experience tutoring GCSE and A-Level students across AQA, OCR, and Edexcel exam boards. My professional background is in finance, where I worked as an analyst in asset management and completed CFA Level 1, which strengthened my ability to think analytically and communicate complex ideas effectively—skills I bring into my teaching. I tailor my lessons to each student’s learning style, breaking down difficult concepts into intuitive, step-by-step explanations while refining exam techniques to help students perform at their best. Having tutored students of different abilities, I understand the challenges of exams and aim to create a calm, supportive environment where students can learn with confidence. I take a structured yet adaptable approach to tutoring, ensuring that lessons are engaging, clear, and tailored to each student’s needs. My method focuses on breaking down challenging concepts into simple, logical steps, helping students develop a strong understanding before tackling more advanced material. A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, starting with a brief review of previous topics to reinforce retention. We then focus on key areas for improvement, using: • Step-by-step explanations to clarify difficult concepts. • Real-world examples to make learning more intuitive and engaging. • Past paper questions and exam techniques to refine performance. • Active recall and spaced repetition methods to strengthen memory. I have experience tutoring GCSE and A-Level students across AQA, OCR, and Edexcel exam boards, and I have also worked as a volunteer teacher for underprivileged students. My background in finance, including experience as an analyst in asset management and passing CFA Level 1, has further developed my ability to think critically and explain ideas effectively.
