About Hope
My name is Hope, and my passion for tutoring comes from my own journey as a student. When I first arrived at university, I struggled to understand how to study effectively and how to truly engage with my work instead of just studying every day without direction. That experience motivated me to help other students avoid the same confusion and develop the skills they need to succeed.
I believe my unique strength as an accounting tutor is my ability to simplify complex concepts and connect them to real-life situations that students understand. Having recently achieved a distinction in accounting myself, I know exactly where students struggle and how to help them overcome those challenges.
My teaching approach focuses on understanding rather than memorization. I break down topics into simple steps, use relatable examples, and provide practical “cheat codes” to help students remember key concepts during exams. I also emphasize exam strategy, helping students maximize their marks and avoid common mistakes.
Most importantly, I create a comfortable and supportive learning environment where students feel confident to ask questions and actively engage. My goal is not only to help students pass, but to build their confidence and help them achieve results they are proud of.
