Conceptual clarity is the key to remembering concepts in the long term and I believe in a teaching style that promotes students to understand the underlying concepts rather than byhearting what's given in the book. This will enable students to tackle new type of questions with ease, even if they have not practiced the same.
It's also important to practice questions by solving them rather than reading through, so, the same shall be encouraged in class as well as in the form of homeworks.
