About Tamsin
My name is Tamsin and I'm a final year student at the University of Nottingham. I've had a passion for RE since a young age and I am ecstatic to begin my teaching career in September 2024.
I have been online tutoring for a while now, and have a good understanding of what needs to be completed to be a successful tutor. As well as this, I have successfully completed a Subject Knowledge Enhancement course, so have in-depth knowledge on teaching the 'Big Six' religions.
I believe that people learn best when there is discussion, interaction, and genuinely interesting content - it will never be successful if I just talk to you. I'm there to guide you to your exams with helpful tips, advice and strong lessons to make you feel confident.

My in-depth knowledge of memory recall, revision techniques and learning styles means I provide fun, interactive, and beneficial learning. Learning should be enjoyable, not just a chore. I'm not there to just read from a presentation. I'm there to actively engage in conversation, understanding, and working together.
The typical lesson will last 50-60 minutes, however this can be flexible.
With prior tutoring experience, a successful completion of a Subject Knowledge Enhancement course in RE, and a place to study to become a secondary-school RE teacher beginning 2024, I can undoubtedly provide a good standard of RE teaching that I am passionate about.
My lessons can be for pre-GCSE, GCSE, and A-level - I currently hold an 8 in GCSE RE and an A in GCSE RE and Philosophy, with a predicted 2-1 Philosophy degree outcome summer 2024
