About Emma
I have been able to do quite a lot of demonstrating, paper viewing and teaching within the psychology department at Durham. Initially I wasn't sure how I would find it, but have truly loved the experience and find it so rewarding to get feedback from students who's grades have significantly improved.
I work remotely at the minute while I am finishing up my thesis so would love the opportunity to keep up with some teaching and continuing to help school and university students to improve their critical thinking and scientific writing skills.

Hi there! I am a final year PhD student at Durham University working in the psychology department. I have experience in undergraduate teaching including essay, literature review and dissertation writing.
I have been able to help Durham undergraduates move up grade boundaries in their classes and really enjoy having an open, casual-style discussions about how you can best approach scientific writing and how to apply critical thinking skills to organise and create a great peice of work :)
I have quite an interdisciplinary background working in biological science, anthropology and psychology departments which has provided me a well-rounded experience in academic writing within the sciences. I have been able to achieve two first class dissertations in undergraduate and masters level, and over the course of my PhD have had two accepted papers in high impact journals. I'd love the opportunity to share what I have learned with you and help you achieve your full potential!
