I'm studying Pharmaceutical Chemistry with hopes of progressing into Graduate Entry Medicine. Tutoring keeps me embedded in the constant cycle of learning and teaching, reinforcing my own understanding while helping students build theirs, a relationship I find genuinely valuable on both sides of the lesson.

Chemistry becomes noticeably harder at A Level, with problem-solving and applied reasoning skills that often need more explanation than a classroom can give in the time available. My priority is building a genuinely supportive, productive working relationship with each student, so they can perform to the best of their actual ability, not just get through the syllabus.
I structure lessons around your specific exam board's syllabus, identifying where your strengths and gaps actually are, then adjusting the focus session to session based on what you need most. I re-explain concepts in whatever way makes them click, then move into exam style questions once the understanding is solid, so you're prepared for how the material is actually tested, not just the theory behind it.
I started tutoring GCSE students while in Year 12, helping them work through exactly the kind of gaps school lessons don't always have time to cover properly. I'm currently continuing that at university, leading sessions to help first and second year students on my course with their chemistry modules. That ongoing experience, across both GCSE and degree level content, is what shapes how I teach: adapting explanations to how each student actually thinks, not just repeating the same method until it eventually sticks.
Every student learns differently, so I pay close attention to what's actually working during a session and adjust in real time rather than sticking rigidly to a plan that isn't landing. My goal isn't just getting through the content, it's making sure it stays with you well beyond the lesson itself, so you walk into every exam feeling genuinely prepared, not just familiar with the topic.
