About Oliver
Hello, My name is Oliver, and I am currently a third-year undergraduate student at the University of Manchester, where I am projected to achieve a first-class degree. My passion for economics and business studies began when I first studied these subjects at A-level, and it has only grown stronger over the years. I genuinely enjoy helping others understand complex concepts and guiding them through the process of answering challenging questions. This passion has inspired me to pursue a master's degree in economics next year, and I’m eager to gain experience in teaching and supporting students as I prepare for my future career. I believe in adapting my teaching methods to best suit each individual student's learning style. I prioritise active learning, using engaging techniques such as asking questions to reinforce and deepen understanding. This helps students actively engage with the material and retain information more effectively. In terms of lesson length, research suggests that sessions between 45-60 minutes are ideal for focus and retention. From my experience, I find this to be true, but I am flexible and willing to adjust the lesson duration based on what works best for the student. I offer tutoring for students studying Economics and Business Studies at both GCSE and A-Level. Whether you're struggling with certain concepts or aiming to deepen your knowledge, I tailor my lessons to meet your specific needs.
