About Jonty
I am an Economics student at the University of Southampton in my final year. I understand that numerical subjects (such as maths and statistics) can often be frustrating and often are a student's least favourite at school - I wasn't the biggest fan of maths in high school!
Since studying for my A-Levels, my degree and my accounting exams, I have learnt to learn numbers. I would like to try and encourage other students to have the same excitement about their numerical subjects. I find tutoring very rewarding, particularly when I can see the student improving in their tests, homework and exams.

I have experience tutoring GCSE maths and economics and I understand that every student will have a different learning style and level of ability. I like to establish a lesson 'road map' once I understand the strengths and weaknesses of the student, so that we can focus specifically on the areas of improvement.
I take the time to produce worksheets in advance of lessons that are based on the syllabus being taught. I also like to work through exam style questions in lesson and I am also happy to set and mark homework (but don't worry, I will only set homework on request).
My lessons are typically an hour in length but I can be flexible on this.
My qualifications:
- 12 GCSEs A*-B (Maths and Further Maths both A grade)
- A-Level Economics - A*
- A-Level Government & Politics - A
- A-Level Mathematics - B
- BSc (Hons) Economics - First Class (predicted)
- I have also passed a couple of ACA accounting exams, so I would be able to help with some accounting too.
