• When did you develop an interest in your chosen field and in private tutoring?

  I've always been passionate about maths and have long wanted to help kids discover that magical connection with the subject-showing them how it can illuminate everyday life.

• Tell us more about the subject you teach, the topics you like to discuss with students (and possibly those you like a little less).

  I tutor GCSE Maths, covering everything from algebra, geometry, and probability to my absolute favourite, calculus. I love exploring how these topics relate to real-world applications and spark curiosity.

• Did you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you?

  My GCSE Maths teacher was a true inspiration-she helped me finish my exam a year early and made me fall in love with maths through her passion and encouragement.

• What do you think are the qualities required to be a good tutor?

  A good tutor needs patience, adaptability, and empathy, along with the creativity to break down complex ideas into relatable, engaging lessons.

• Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.

  One of my most memorable moments was during my early GCSEs when I managed to finish two years' worth of maths in just a few months-a true lightbulb moment that revealed how clear, passionate teaching can transform understanding.

• What were the difficulties or challenges you faced or still facing in your subject?

  At university, I've encountered challenges with abstract theories and complex problem-solving, which have pushed me to continuously refine my approach and find creative ways to make tough concepts clear.

• Do you have a particular passion? Is it teaching in general or an element of the subject or something completely different?

  I'm passionate about helping people succeed and love tailoring my explanations to different learning styles. Nothing beats seeing a student's face light up when they finally grasp a concept!

  I combine genuine enthusiasm, creative teaching methods, and a commitment to making maths fun and accessible-always aiming to spark those "aha" moments that empower each student.
