About Mathieu
After over 10 years of experience in the film industry and teaching dozens of assistant editors, I found out a passion about sharing my knowledge to others. It is not only about technical skills, but also about human behaviour, how to talk to a director, to the chief editor and how to anticipate problems and fix them before they even exist.
As I worked on several movies as a VFX editor along my carrer such as Alien Romulus, Trap, Hellboy or The power of the dog, I have a good knowledge of the film industry and its standard.
AVID media composer is the software you must imperatively know if you want to pursuie a career in this industry.
I can teach in English as well as in French.

AVID can be quite difficult and overwhelmed to learn on your own compared to other softwares such as Adobe Premiere, Davinci Resolve or Final Cut Pro. Having a good mentor is the key to learn technical skills, but also to teach you good tips and tricks to boost your career.
No need to pay for the software for our lessons. You can simply download the free version of Avid media composer on their website and I can simply share my screen to walk you through that powerful tool. We can also meet up in person if you are living in Sydney.
