About Hudson
With more than a decade of experience as a performer and educator, I specialize in helping singers develop the vocal control, confidence, and expressive tools they need to thrive across genres. My teaching draws from classical voice science and modern pop vocal pedagogy, blending structured technique with creative exploration. I welcome students of all levels—from total beginners to working musicians—into a studio environment where growth is personalized and progress is measurable. My sessions are built around healthy technique: breath support, laryngeal stability, tone shaping, pitch alignment, and smooth transitions between registers. I incorporate vocal warm-ups tailored to each student’s current voice needs and match those with repertoire that challenges and inspires them. But just as importantly, I guide singers in emotional connection, helping them find their voice not only as a technical instrument but as a storytelling tool. I use high-quality recording tools for feedback, vocal journaling prompts, performance simulations, and musical analysis exercises to ensure lessons are practical and creatively rich. Whether you want to sing pop ballads, musical theater showpieces, or soulful originals, I’ll help you bring authenticity and control to your performance. Students in my studio also receive coaching in ear training, harmonization, music theory fundamentals, and live or studio performance technique. Many have gone on to perform publicly, audition successfully for programs or productions, or confidently share their work online. Above all, I strive to foster an environment where your voice is celebrated, supported, and strengthened—on your own terms.

Singing is a multi-dimensional experience that engages not just the voice but the whole person. In my teaching, I prioritize Technique, Artistic Freedom, Representation, and Growth Mindset. Technique is the entry point—we build a reliable foundation using evidence-based methods focused on healthy breath support, resonance tuning, vocal registration, and physical alignment. I make sure each student understands their vocal anatomy and how to use it efficiently, ensuring the voice can grow safely across ranges and styles. Once technique is in place, we move into artistic freedom.
I guide students in shaping phrases, interpreting lyrics, and crafting performances that reflect their own voice and vision. I encourage creativity through vocal improvisation, songwriting, and character exploration. Representation is a critical lens in my teaching—I actively select repertoire that reflects varied backgrounds, gender identities, languages, and cultures. I also support students in exploring music that speaks to their heritage, values, and personal interests. This fosters pride, connection, and authenticity in performance. The growth mindset underlies our entire process.
Singing is not about perfection but about continual refinement, curiosity, and courage. I help students track their progress through recordings, celebrate small wins, and face technical or artistic challenges with resilience and flexibility. My studio is a space of encouragement and accountability, where singers are equipped with lifelong skills and the self-belief needed to pursue their musical dreams—whatever form those may take.
