About Pema
Hello, I’m Pema, a Creative Writing tutor based in London. My goal is to help students build confidence in their written and spoken English while encouraging them to express themselves with creativity and clarity. I hold a Master’s degree in Fashion Business and Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, both of which strengthened my communication, writing, and presentation skills. I have also completed Vogue’s Fashion Journalism Course, where I further developed my editorial and creative writing abilities. My teaching style is structured yet inspiring. I tailor each lesson to suit the individual’s needs, whether it’s improving grammar and vocabulary, developing creative writing skills, or preparing for academic writing. I aim to create a comfortable, motivating learning environment where students feel supported and confident to explore their potential. My lessons focus on developing confidence in both written and spoken English through creativity and self-expression. I take a personalised approach, tailoring each session to suit the student’s goals, whether they wish to strengthen their grammar and vocabulary, prepare for exams, or explore creative writing. I aim to incorporate writing prompts, literary analysis, and storytelling techniques to help students think critically and communicate authentically. Typical Length of a Lesson Each lesson lasts 60 minutes, providing enough time to cover key concepts, practise writing, and discuss feedback. Longer sessions can be arranged for students working on projects or developing advanced creative writing pieces. Qualifications and Experience I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design and a Master’s in Fashion Business and Management, both of which required strong communication and writing skills. I have also completed Vogue’s Fashion Journalism Course, which strengthened my creative and editorial writing abilities. Alongside my academic background, I have extensive experience writing for fashion projects, storytelling-based collections, and brand narratives, all of which influence my teaching style and understanding of creative expression. Who the Lessons Are For My lessons are suitable for students aged 13 and above, from intermediate to advanced levels of English. I work with learners who want to improve their writing and communication skills, gain confidence in self-expression, or refine their creative writing abilities for academic or personal development.
