About Chiayun
I am a multidisciplinary artist with a background in fashion design, working across painting, sculpture, and bookmaking. My practice is inspired by careful observation of life, often with a sentimental lens, and I bring this attention to detail and curiosity into my mentorship.
I love guiding students in a way that centres their own interests and creative instincts, encouraging them to explore, experiment, and express themselves freely. My sessions aim to make students feel understood, supported, and inspired to challenge themselves. Seeing them grow, develop confidence, and discover their unique creative voice is what makes teaching so rewarding for me.
I am based in Paris, France, and offer lessons online for English-speaking students worldwide, welcoming beginners and intermediate learners alike.

I offer a flexible and personalised approach to creative mentorship, blending structured exercises with open-ended exploration depending on the student. I help students discover their strengths and amplify them, while encouraging experimentation in areas where I see potential. Lessons combine discussion, practical exercises, and reflection, using tools like sketchbooks, moodboards, prototypes, and reflective journals. I also share insights from my own projects and collaborations with other designers and artists, helping students see ideas from new perspectives and develop their own creative voice.
Sessions are usually 60–90 minutes, combining discussion, hands-on work, and review. Depending on the student’s goals, lessons can include independent assignments or projects, and I provide guidance between sessions to support progress and answer questions.
I have over ten years of professional experience in the fashion industry, collaborating with brands such as Kwaidan Editions, Ann Demeulemeester, Jan-Jan Van Essche, and Chiahung Su. Since 2024, I have mentored teenage students preparing for art and fashion university programs, guiding them through creative journaling, visual storytelling, design development, and portfolio preparation.
My mentorship is designed for students aged 13–25, from beginners to intermediate level, primarily those preparing for art or fashion university programs. I also welcome students interested in self-led creative projects who want guidance on developing ideas, exploring materials, and gaining confidence in their creative expression. Lessons are conducted online and are available to English-speaking students worldwide.
