About Mike
Hi. I've been teaching speech and drama since 1984. And I still love it. It's my passion and it can be yours too. I have a degree in English and Theatre Studies, and am a fully qualified teacher (Post Graduate Certificate in Education.) I am a former LAMDA examiner and Editor of Word Matters, the International Journal of The Society of Teachers of Speech and Drama. I am the author of How to Nail Public Speaking (2020) available on Amazon Books.

Do you want to increase your self-confidence and get a qualification at the same time?
I do that.
I specialise in LAMDA exams, particularly public speaking. I just love working with students, helping them to make great speeches.
Do you want to reduce your local accent? I mean, local accents are lovely, but a lot of people prefer not to have them or would like their regionals tones "smoothed out" a little.
I do that, too.
Do you want your business presentations to stand out from the crowd and make a fabulous impression?
Yes, I do that too.
Acting audition, interview preparation, wedding speech?
It's all about what you want.
Of course, it's highly interactive.
And, after each lesson, I will send you a feedback sheet and often a pre-prepared document outlining the key points covered in the lesson.
