I had employed Liz in another capacity for some time before asking her to tutor my son. I knew her to be friendly, very approachable and interested in others; I've never known anyone to make friends so easily! So I was confident in her ability to put my son at ease and to communicate clearly and easily in both English and French, using a variety of techniques and resources to make the language come alive for him. Having been a reluctant pupil he now greets me with 'bonjour'! I would certainly recommend Liz to anyone.

I started uke lessons with Uka Lis several months ago by joining the strumming seagulls group she set up. I found Liz so welcoming with enormous amounts of patience. The group was a real mix of ages and abilities yet Liz managed to get us sounding like a group and giving each one of us confidence in our own abilities. I would highly recommend her.

Uka has been teaching my 8 year old son ukele for about 18 months. He had no musical experience or knowledge of how to play the ukele when he first started. He is now confident, can play cords and strum many songs his favourite is Octopuses Garden and loves playing this to an audience! Uka engages and makes the lessons fun and my son always looks forward to each weeks lesson.
