About Jordan
I have always had a passion for learning and teaching. I love to deeply understand a topic and break it down into simple terms anybody can understand. I've even taught my non-technical friends how to "intuitively" understand algorithmic complexity for example.
During my time at Facebook I mentored many software engineers from graduate level through to becoming a senior engineer, so no matter where you are in your software career I am confident I can guide you forwards.

I am a self taught developer with a background in mathematics (first class honours). I know first hand how hard it can be to teach yourself to program so let me guide you through the landscape. I can ensure you'll be building real world applications and having fun in no time and set you on your own course for discovery.
My lessons are one hour long and once I understand your motivations for learning to program I can design a curriculum that will work for you. Our lessons will be very practical and fun, building together something that you personally find very interesting. Between lessons I will set you homework and extension challenges which we will go over at the start of each class.
I can teach you how to program in any programming language. If you don't have a particular one you'd like to learn I can make suggestions based on your goals. If you're already an intermediate programmer I can work with you in your preferred language to level up since at that point what is more important to learn is some concepts rather than the details of a particular language. Personally I am a polyglot developer and can work at a high level across Python, C, Go, Rust, JavaScript and TypeScript and I can be productive in a new language in a matter of hours (the concepts are more important than the syntax!).
