About Leo
As an enthusiastic Violin tutor with 6 years of professional teaching experience, I have successfully trained approximately 150 students at different stages of learning.
My teaching philosophy combines discipline, creativity, and encouragement to ensure balanced musical growth.
I begin by strengthening essential skills such as posture correction, bow control, finger placement, and tone clarity. As students gain confidence, I introduce advanced techniques, dynamics, phrasing, and performance preparation.
I personalise every lesson according to the learner’s pace and interests, making classes both effective and engaging. I also guide students on structured home practice strategies to maximise progress.
My unique skill lies in identifying individual strengths and helping students refine them while patiently addressing areas that need improvement. My mission is to shape confident violinists who play with technical accuracy and heartfelt expression.

In my violin classes, I emphasise open communication and steady progress. I encourage students to ask questions and share their challenges so that learning becomes comfortable and effective. Since every learner has a different pace, I adapt my teaching style to ensure no one feels pressured.
I provide step-by-step guidance in bowing techniques, shifting positions, vibrato development, articulation, and dynamics. Along with violin training, I include music theory, rhythm studies, sight reading, ear training, and music appreciation.
I use practical examples such as school performances, competitions, graded exams, and ensemble practice to show how consistent preparation leads to success. I also guide students on building disciplined practice routines at home. My approach helps students develop technical control, musical understanding, and stage confidence.
