About Jared
With over 10 years of experience teaching Guitar to college students, I have built a teaching style that focuses on clarity, comfort, and steady progress. I believe that every student can learn Guitar with confidence when the lessons are simple, enjoyable, and well-structured. My goal is to help learners understand music in a way that feels natural and exciting, instead of overwhelming or confusing.
I teach essential Guitar techniques like chords, strumming patterns, fingerstyle, picking methods, scales, transitions, rhythm control, and expressive playing. Along with these skills, I introduce small sections of music theory to help students understand how songs are built and why certain sounds feel good together.
One innovative method I use is “step-by-step sound mapping,” where each technique is broken into small sound blocks. Students learn each block slowly and then combine them to play full songs. This method helps learners build strong muscle memory and understand music deeply. I also use play-along tracks, guided tempo practice, and visual drills to support different learning styles.
My classes are friendly, relaxed, and student-centered. I take time to listen to each learner’s goals—whether they want to perform, compose, join a band, or simply relax with music. I design lessons that match their interests, so they stay motivated and excited to learn. Creativity is a big part of my teaching. Students practice short improvisations, build their own melodies, and learn how to express emotions through sound.
I also teach them how to practice effectively, so they can grow even outside the classroom. My goal is to help every student become a confident, joyful musician who understands Guitar and enjoys every moment of learning.

My teaching methodology for Guitar is based on real-life learning, clear understanding, and honest communication. I believe students learn music better when lessons are connected to real situations. I use real-life examples, songs, and simple case studies to explain guitar techniques and musical concepts.
Understanding is the base of my teaching. I make sure students clearly understand tuning, posture, chords, rhythm, strumming, and finger movement before moving to advanced topics. Lessons are taught step by step so students feel confident at every level.
Communication is open and friendly. I explain concepts in simple English and encourage students to ask questions freely. I give clear demonstrations and regular feedback to support improvement.
Integrity is a strong value in my teaching. I am honest about progress and guide students patiently. I encourage discipline, regular practice, and respect for music.
Along with Guitar, I also teach related subjects such as basic music theory, rhythm training, ear training, and performance skills. My goal is to help students become confident, skilled, and independent guitar players.
