About Dylan
I am a dedicated Drum tutor with more than 14 years of experience teaching college-level students. I help students improve rhythm, coordination, and confidence through clear guidance and structured lessons. My teaching style is creative, patient, and goal-oriented. I tailor lessons to match each student’s needs and learning speed.
I guide students as a mentor, encouraging discipline and critical thinking. I use innovative methods such as groove development exercises, structured warm-ups, and song-based learning. I also focus on tempo control and coordination drills to build strong foundations. Accountability is a core part of my lessons.
I set clear expectations, track progress, and offer regular feedback to ensure improvement. Along with drum techniques, I teach rhythm reading, basic music theory, and performance confidence. My goal is to help students become skilled, confident, and independent drummers.

My teaching approach for drums is practical, creative, and supportive. I believe drumming should be enjoyable while building strong musical skills. Each lesson is planned according to the student’s pace and learning needs.
Creativity is a key part of my lessons. Students learn to create grooves, explore fills, and play along with music tracks. This helps them apply skills in real musical situations.
As a critical thinker and mentor, I explain rhythm and coordination in simple terms. Students are encouraged to ask questions and think independently.
Accountability is maintained through clear practice plans and regular progress reviews. I help students stay motivated and disciplined.
Along with drums, I also teach related subjects such as basic music theory, rhythm exercises, tempo training, and performance skills. My goal is to help students become confident, expressive, and responsible drummers.
