About Richard
I come from a 15-year background in education, where I taught students of all ages — most recently focusing on coding and animation. I earned my degree in Computer Animation from SCAD and spent years building systems that helped students learn in creative, organized ways. Throughout my career, I developed strong skills in communication, organization, data tracking, and problem-solving — all of which I’m excited to now learn about PC assembly. I’m currently part of the STRIVE Atlanta program, which has helped me sharpen my professional and administrative skills. I’m excited about the opportunity to grow in the technology industry, contribute to a trusted institution like ACSS, and continue serving the public in a new way.

Course Description
Animation and Coding combines the skills of computer science and visual design using animation, editing, pre-production, and post-production of a project, using a variety of hardware and software tools. This project-based course focuses on real-world audiences as customers. Students will learn to use a collection of software tools and design techniques to create a variety of formatted projects. This course meets the requirements for the high school Technology Applications elective credit.
