About TOYOB MAHMUD
I have been passionate about Mathematics and Science since my school days, which gradually shaped my academic path toward engineering. I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), Bangladesh, securing a CGPA of 3.60 out of 4. Currently, I am pursuing a Master of Civil Engineering at Edith Cowan University (ECU), Australia. My strong academic foundation in Math, Physics, and Chemistry motivates me to help students build clear concepts and confidence in these core subjects.
During my university life, I was actively involved in academic leadership and professional communities. I served as the President of the ACI SUST Student Chapter, which is aligned with the international concrete community, and worked as the Assistant General Secretary of the Association of Civil Engineering. These roles strengthened my communication, mentoring, and leadership skills, allowing me to guide and support fellow students effectively.
Beyond academics, I have always believed in balanced personal development. I actively participated in sports and represented my department in cricket, football, and basketball at SUST. These experiences helped me develop discipline, teamwork, and perseverance—qualities I bring into my teaching approach.
With over four years of teaching experience in coaching centers and online batches, I enjoy making complex topics simple and engaging. I aim to support students from Years 5 to 12 by building strong fundamentals, improving problem-solving skills, and helping them achieve academic success with confidence.

My approach to tutoring is student-centred, structured, and aligned with the Australian curriculum. I begin by assessing each student’s current level, learning style, and goals, then create a tailored study plan focusing on conceptual understanding, exam technique, and independent thinking. I use a mix of guided explanation, worked examples, active questioning, and regular formative assessments to track progress. I also incorporate past exam questions and problem-solving strategies to build confidence and critical thinking skills.
Each lesson runs for 1.5 to 2 hours, allowing time for concept revision, practice, feedback, and reflection.
I have over 4–5 years of tutoring experience, teaching Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics to students from Years 5–12. During my undergraduate studies, I taught at several established coaching centres in Dhaka and led online Standard 12 Physics and Chemistry batches. I also conducted IELTS preparation classes, focusing on structured writing and exam strategy.
My lessons are suitable for upper primary and secondary students (Years 5–12), including those preparing for senior secondary examinations and standardized tests. I focus on building strong fundamentals, academic confidence, and consistent performance improvement
