About Tatum
My teaching methodology is built on compassion and understanding, ensuring every student feels comfortable while learning Excel. I recognise that each student has a different background and learning speed, so I patiently guide them through basics like worksheets, formulae, and formatting before moving to advanced topics. I focus on removing fear around numbers and data by explaining concepts in a calm and supportive way.
I explain Excel concepts using simple language, real-life examples, and practical exercises such as assignments, projects, and data tasks. Students are encouraged to ask questions freely, making lessons interactive and easy to follow.
I set clear learning goals, track progress, and provide regular feedback to improve performance. Along with Excel, I can also support related subjects that strengthen analytical and practical skills. My positive approach helps students gain confidence, improve accuracy, and apply Excel skills effectively in studies and future work.

I am a passionate and dedicated Microsoft Excel tutor with 2 years of experience in both teaching and professional work. My interest in Excel started as a curiosity to understand how data and numbers can be organised to solve real problems. Over time, this interest grew into a strong passion for teaching and helping students feel confident while working with spreadsheets. I enjoy guiding students from school to college level, making sure they build a strong foundation step by step.
During my teaching journey, I have helped many students improve their understanding of Excel for academics, projects, and daily tasks. One of my key milestones has been successfully supporting students in completing assignments, preparing for exams, and handling practical Excel projects with confidence. I focus on explaining concepts clearly, using simple examples that students can easily relate to real-life situations and coursework requirements.
I strongly believe that education should be encouraging, practical, and student-focused. My goal is not just to teach Excel tools, but to help students develop problem-solving skills and independent thinking. I create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. Seeing my students grow in confidence and skill is my biggest motivation as a tutor.
