About Sven
In my lessons on evolutionary biology, we explore the grand story of life on Earth. Together, we focus on developing critical thinking and using evidence-based reasoning to understand how life changes over time. We cover key concepts like natural selection, speciation, and phylogenetics to see how species are connected and evolve.

I’m a Biology tutor with over 10 years of experience and a Master’s degree in Bioinformatics. My teaching focuses on a holistic and interdisciplinary approach to forensic biology and DNA forensics. I specialise in DNA profiling, PCR techniques, and trace evidence analysis, all essential tools in modern crime scene investigation. I incorporate simulated crime scenarios into lessons to give students hands-on experience with laboratory protocols and real-world applications.
Ethics play a big role in forensic science, so I ensure students understand the importance of integrity and responsible practice. Many of my students are aspiring forensic scientists, law enforcement professionals, or criminal justice enthusiasts. I tailor my teaching to help them develop both technical skills and critical thinking necessary for their careers.
I love guiding students as they explore how scientific evidence can bring truth to light and contribute to justice. Together, we dive deep into the science behind crime-solving with curiosity and purpose. My goal is to inspire confidence and passion for forensic biology in every learner.
