About Ryan
I am a native speaker of both English and Spanish. Despite my name, my Spanish is native-level owing to a childhood spent in Alicante, Spain. I attend Primary and Secondary school in Spain and now have experience working as a Head of Language. I also freelance as a Language adviser and provide CPD to schools in the UK. My lessons are primarily taught through immersion, with a specific focus on authenticity and ease of communication. I am also a grammar-nerd and love to geek-out on all things Spanish Language. I believe that practice creates accuracy and fluency and the best form of practice is speaking and listening. Lessons are built around your experience and short-term and long-term goals, with an eye on upcoming examinations and course requirements. However, learning Spanish should be about long-term fluency and that is what I specialise in.

My daughter started secondary school and began to learn Spanish. Ryan was her first teacher of languages and she has been truly inspired. We have since asked Ryan to tutor her as she has considered taking her GCSE early. In my daughters words Ryan is “ ¡muy divertido “ I highly recommend Ryan, he is very encouraging and has really boosted her confidence and ability in speaking Spanish.
Ryan is a very knowledgeable Spanish tutor and has tutored my daughter for 7 months. In that time her Spanish has improved so much. She loves her lessons and I can tell she is more confident now with speaking. He marks her homework and is flexible.
Ryan is an excellent tutor and works hard to build relationships and promote progress in all learners. He taught my son English and thankfully he got the grade he wanted. He also helped my cousin’s kids with Spanish and they loved it.
Ryan tutored me for A level Spanish, he is very thorough but still makes the learning enjoyable. He is a native speaker so is able to give examples of his own experiences. I would highly recommend him.
