About Emma
I am a qualified History and Religious Studies teacher and have been teaching at secondary school level for the past 3 years. I have taught the full age range from 11-18, with extensive knowledge of the new History and Religious Studies curriculum and examinations. I also have extensive experience working with pupils with extra needs.

I teach from KS3, up to and including, A-Level. I base my lessons around the knowledge, strengths and preferences of the student - some students love writing, others prefer to use diagrams, others prefer video clips or podcasts. I get to know my students well so I can understand their learning styles. I emphasise the need to work on exam technique, using a range of knowledge recall quizzes, improving previous exam questions and structure strips that help my students understand how to answer a variety of exam questions.
